The Wombats – Tokyo (Devos & Devereux Club Mix)

‘Tokyo’ is The Wombats comeback single off the second Album from Liverpool’s finest. Previously Zane Lowe’s hottest record in the world, this track is a monster.

Tom Devos was previously signed to Size Records and recorded an album together with Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso. Pete Devereux was one half of dance music duo Artful Dodger who were signed to Pete Tong’s London Records where they had a platinum selling debut album. Devereux is also the proud owner of a coveted Ivor Novello award for song-writing and in 2001 won Q Magazine’s ‘Best Producer’ award. Devos & Devereux are putting the finishing touches to their debut single and their remix of “Tokyo” is a real taste of what they’ve got coming…

Raph

Raphael Grau maybe more known as Raph has been holding down the fort in Belgium together with the Forma.T crew when it comes to bringing that techhouse heat. He’s been featured here on Discobelle in the past with his Summer 2009 mix and his fine remix of the Steve Angello track “Tivoli”.

He just did this smashing mixtape for the Truants blog and it showcases both his selection and his skills.

“Raph playlisted everyone’s number one from the recent BNR sampler, “Tellyfoam” by Jan Driver and Yolanda Be Cool’s “We No Speak Americano” next to Ben Clock’s “Red Alert”, which is a crazy and loud track focusing on percussion, alongside the more old-school/big room vibes of Sebastien Leger. The ‘instrumentalist German minimal techno’ side that Raph digs is present in the track that’s done by Hanne & Lore and there are also a lot of guitars thrown in there to show his love for the more tech-y and gypsy side of the electronic spectrum.”

Steve Angello – Tivoli (RAPH Africa Remix)

After posting the superb Raph summer mix last week, we can now give you a break off track from the mix which is his very own “Africa” remix of the track “Tivoli” by Swedish superstar dj/producer Steve Angello.

“2009. RAPH, the choosen one, the sacred child from Liege’s Tibet, appeared. The 21 years-old boy already earned the trust and respect of his elders the great sages from Forma.T and Partyharders, through which he enchained the parties alongside masters like the great Laidback Luke or also the Atlanta rap dealer lover Brodinski. Springtime he released 2 mixtapes which were quickly approved by Solo, Riva Starr, Harvard Bass but also Teki Latex, the guru of Sound Pellegrino, small-brother label of Institubes. There are many stories that show his potential and his multiple influences…Keep an eye on this young disciple before he exceeds his masters. (original french version by Teki Latex)”

Raph – Summer mix

Belgian young gun Raph is part of the MDD Party Crew out of Brussels and he just sent over his new mix (which includes his banging “Africa” remix of the Steve Angello track “Tivoli”) that encapsules most of the tracks that have been big this season. Not only is his track selection on point but his smooth style makes this mix a winner.

Right Hand Hi

Kid Sister is about to release her much awaited debut album “Ultraviolet” on October 6 (on Downtown/Fool’s Gold). “Right Hand Hi” is the latest single off the album and it’s a yummy housey sounding affair produced by Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello (of Swedish House Mafia) who also incorporates video game like sounds into the track that along with Kid Sisters vocals makes this into a sure fire club anthem.

Laidback Luke & Steve Angello (ft. Robin S) – Show Me Love (The unofficial video)

Had this up a few days ago but took it down since we didn’t think it was cleared but looks like it’s good to go now. The weekend seems to have just started.

080808

Not only the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place this friday (080808) but also a pretty crazy event takes place in Stockholm. WESC are the promoters and they’ll turn the Stureplan district smack in the centre of the city into a giant club (capacity 50 000) with top dj’s such as: Steve Angello och Sebastian Ingrosso, The Bloody Beetroots and Busy P. To promote the party we got this remix of the Aston Shuffle track “Stomp Yo Shoes” done by The Bloody Beetroots (sorry, stream only).
