Who’s There? remixes

Riton & Primary 1 getting a lending hand for their synthlaced monster “Who’s There?” (EP will be out next week on Phantasy Sound) from Swedish wonder Style Of Eye and from one our favorite UK geezers, L-Vis 1990. Both of them showing off their stuff but in way different manners. Style Of Eye delivers a strutty 8 minute opus twisting the synthline into circus mode and pitching the vocals down to scary, L-Vis 1990 on the other hand gives us a remix where he keeps the “Who’s There?” chorus + pressing the synth into manic mode all while adding some of that UK funky which you should know by now. (Thanks to Mad Decent and Darling Department)

Little Boots – Remedy (Style Of Eye remix)

Whoa! We just recieved this excellent Style Of Eye remix of the track “Remedy” by British electropop sensation Little Boots. Pumping techhouse with anthemlike qualities and in 320 kbps glory to boot.

Style Of Eye – Essential Mix

Swedish techno/house producer Style Of Eye with his Essential mix for BBC Radio 1, this is pretty amazing and will be a perfect companion for the Midsummer weekend fun. (Thanks to Skeet)

Fragment One

Thanks to Haldan (Palms Out and danish label Music For Dreams) here’s another remix of the track “Fragment One” originally from label head honcho, Kenneth Bager. This time, it’s done up by our very own Swedish sensation Style Of Eye. This remix destroys on the dancefloor, and is building hype incredibly quickly. Style Of Eye is gaining steam at an incredible pace, and this track is one of his best yet.

Twelve

Matt Kemp who is better known as Plimsouls is back with on the scene with the release of his debut EP “If Not Now, When” (being released in April on Pieces Of Eight Records which is also home to Cassette Jam and Style Of Eye). The EP is a much techier affair than the lush sounds we’ve previously heard from Mr Plimsouls, this is an alternate version of the track “Twelve” lifted off the EP.

VV Brown & Style Of Eye

Swedish top techno producer Style Of Eye goes all in with his 8 minute remix of the track “Leave” by UK pop singstress VV Brown. He does a nice job chopping up and incorporating her vocals with the music, also manages to stretch out the track and gives us buildups that will make people lose their shit.

BONUS: The lovely Little Boots does her own version, check it!

Discobelle 3 Years

3 years, 2973 posts, praise from around the world + numerous dj-gigs in Sweden/Europe and now we’re ready to celebrate our 3 year anniversary!

What better way to do that than to provide you, our faithful readers, with a chance to win 5 copies of the latest single on Trunkfunk Records – Swedish producer David EkenbäcksNairu EP” (remixes coming from Style Of Eye, Brabe, DJ Nibc & La Fleur, Stuffa etc)? To enter, just answer this question: “What’s the name of the special timbral device/instrument used on one of Style Of Eyes 2008 hit tracks? Send your answers here.

David Ekenbäck is one of the rising stars on the Swedish dance music scene, providing us with dynamic tech-house but still keeping it in check with the addition of softer melodies. Style Of Eye gives us a deeper techno take on the track “Nairu”, which we think would be very well suited for late nights in warehouses in Berlin.

illectronics211

David West (Style Of Eye remix)

Swedish techno producer David West (of Antiloop fame) hit us up to tell us about his latest release “Illectronics” (dropped about 2 weeks ago on Tolerant). Always great to hear from up and coming artists. He gave us this ethereal stormer of a remix from the ever excellent house/techno maestro Style Of Eye that makes you feel like you’re at some warehouse space in Berlin or maybe a beach party in Barcelona. Essential.

Nacho Lovers edit

There must be something in the water over there in Canada, we here at Discobelle have been posting tons of artists from the fair country and it just seems to be an endless supply of top notch producers/dj’s.

You might have heard about Nacho Lovers when they’ve dropped their incredible remixes and edits on the unsuspecting blogosphere. Their housey remix of the Jokers Of The Scene track “Y’all Know The Name” is stellar and our favorite out of the bunch. They are about to release their debut record come summertime, “Go On/Acid Life EP” will be out on on Fools Gold Records (who seem to be scooping some of the hottest names in the game). This funky chopped up edit (it even throws some Cutty Ranks vocals on top) of that Style Of Eye track “The Big Kazoo” is just what we needed to get by the rest of the week.
