Avicii Miami Packshot

Avicii presents Strictly Miami 2011

Here we have an exclusive guest mix by fellow swede Avicii to promote the new Strictly Rhythm compilation album “Avicii presents Strictly Miami 2011″ that is out on 5th April 2011.

Avicii, still just 21 years old, is on fire right now with a string of huge records already behind him. He also just came back from Miami were he played Ultra for three days; day one – headlining the main stage, day two – prime time slot on the main stage, day three – headlining the official afterparty at Mansion. And just a few weeks before he also won an IDMA for ‘Best Breakthrough Artist’!

Endiamonds – Absence

In Sweden we celebrate a holiday called Midsummer. It’s entails drinking schnapps, eating pickled herring, and dancing around a pole full for flowers and leaves. I know, it’s weird. But that’s what we do.

Anyway, for this years festivities I was in the Gothenburg archipelago and went to see the band playing. I was expecting bad Metallica covers but to my surprise they were actually really good. They’re called Endiamonds and have that Swedish West coast sound – a little TTA, a little Air France. Unfortunately their recordings don’t quite match their live performance, but we think this could be a gem worth keeping an eye on.

Dmitry Fyodorov #7

Seventh installment from the Dmitry Fyodorov monthly track giveaway.

“Wolfbrigade” is the third installment of Dmitry Fyodorov’s tribute to the dark side movement, bands and people. This time Dmitry Fyodorov goes even a bit more techier and wolfier! This track describes the great Siberian wolf warrior brigade that meets up with undead Dmitry Fyodorov to slay ghouls.”

Sweden represent 3:3

Last post in the Sweden represent series. I had to do some Swedish twist to it when I got three Swedish tracks to post in one day. One post? Nahhh that would have been to easy and all three songs deserved their own post.

Back to the track. My favorite duo Jamtech Foundation are back with new heat. This time they have mashed the sound of 90′s dancehall with some techhouse and then put the vocals from Cali P on top of it to make it even better. These guys don’t disappoint.

Sweden represent 2:3

You all saw the video of Maskinen‘s second single “Segertåget” here on Discobelle two weeks ago, now we got a remix of the same track up for grabs. Dada Life once again get the opportunity to do their thing with a Maskinen track. You know what that means: nobody stands still.

Sweden represent 1:3

Swedish time! Here is a Henok Achido track that will probably get you some flashbacks of Adam Tensta’s “My Cool” when you listen to it. But I am told that an early demo version of this track was on a RMH-mixtape back in 2005 and that Henok Achido played a version of it for Tensta in spring 2007. Anyway, here is the finished version of the track “Take My Cool Off” with Lazee.
