With the holidays approaching quickly, the inevitable dirge of terrible club reworkings is in full effect (drum & bass reworking of ‘Good King Wenceslas’, anyone?) – but that doesn’t mean that amongst the turds there aren’t some genuinely enjoyable Christmas themed jams that you can play out maybe twice a year, every year.

Enter Horsepower, the union of Bart B More, Tommie Sunshine & RipTide. Wisely recruiting Teki Latex to drop some of his signature humor and pathos on the vocals, the track advocates you to skip eating frozen dinners alone at home and spend it rammed in a dark, sweaty room with lots of other people waving their hands around in the air.

Stream it on soundcloud below, and download it here:

Teki Latex, Tommie Sunshine, Bart B More & Riptide – Christmas In The Club

And if you like the track (or, even if you hate it) Horsepower advocates taking a minute to check out Dance4Life and Unicef’s charity pages, and maybe even opening up your miserly heart to donate something to them.

Young US producer Myrryrs is the latest signing to Discobelle Records and his “Feel U EP” has been in the works for a couple of months now but still has us giddy with excitement. His influences are listed as the dark, the light and the drums. That holy trinity is certainly evident in his productions.

Grab the EP now over at Juno or iTunes or Beatport.

The title track “Feel U” sees him square off light, angelic r’n'b esque vocals and disco synths against stuttering bass sounds for THE late night club hit of the darker months to come.

“C?U?M” is dark and brooding with a beat that is reminiscent of fingers snapping and a steamy trade off of eerie, pitched down telephone messages as vocals suggests late night encounters of the rated R nature.

“Without You” continues on the darker side of Myrryrs productions. Light vocals emerge from a soundscape of whizzing synths and a slow, dragged out beat that inadvertently will make your head nod and your feet move.

The title track receives three remixes from acts spread across the US and Europe, they are full of vibes – albeit they’re all different.

L.A producer Samo Sound Boy comes hot off the heels from his EPs for prominent US labels Palms Out and Trouble & Bass with a pounding tropical bass remix that incorporates a driven vibe with huge synth stabs and the added twist of urging vocals.

Paris based maestros of that new French club sound – Bambounou and Teki Latex – lays it down Eurostyle with a twisting and jerking beat. Teki brings forth a yearning side of his characteristic swag to the table for what could best be described as an all out odyssey into sweatfueled basement clubs from Atlanta to Paris all filled with a pulsating body of people losing their senses to the sleazy neonlit dimension of the French maestros.

Meanwhile, Charlotte production duo Clicks & Whistles gives us a taste of what’s to come on Discobelle Records. They’re releasing a split EP with Seattle based producer cedaa later this autumn. Their anthemic six minute remix focuses on an addictive synthline that seems to be lifted straight off an 80′s 8-bit computer game, it sinks its hooks into your brain and won’t let go.

Listen to the whole EP below and then download the bonus remix from Voltron!

Myrryrs – Feel U EP by discobelle

Not a part of the original release package but no less exceptional is this Voltron remix, which adheres to a tightly paced early-rave workout including Footsteps shuffling down a hallway, tuning forks and a breakdown that sounds like two young dolphins in love who are communicating underwater, maybe plotting some kind of anti-human mutiny. Ecstatic, weird, fun dance music for the ages.

Young US producer Myrryrs is the latest signing to Discobelle Records and his “Feel U EP” has been in the works for a couple of months now but still has us giddy with excitement. His influences are listed as the dark, the light and the drums, a holy trinity is certainly evident in his productions.

Samo Sound Boy, Clicks & Whistles and Teki Latex & Bambounou all contribute ‘pon remix duty, all of which you can hear in full on Soundcloud. Highlights include Teki getting his existential longing charged thugged out love rap on and Samo Sound Boy layering pounding chants overtop the original that add a sense of dancefloor urgency to affairs.

Grab it below, and keep on guard for when the EP drops August 25th!

Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team celebrates three years of spaced out genre bending with two club friendly instruments of destruction as one of the most hilarious, inventive and constantly unmimicable labels in the game.

First thing’s first, “Bassface” takes us back to the days of Miami and Atlanta Bass music, made for the rollerskating rink, but with an added macabre 808 trap feel and venomous digi-medieval undertones.

However, the one that’s really going to get everyone’s attention seems to be “Pretty Pretty Good” – not only is it a shimmering burst of woodblock percussion, panting and g-funk laser blasts in the background, but it’s an obvious nod to the infamous HBO cult sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is maybe the best unmined use of dance music source material up unto this point.

Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team EP is out on iTunes now, CONSUME.

Also, Teki and Orgasmic have their own online store now, and while there’s no vinyl there, there are plenty of stylish pieces for the tech-house Karl Lagerfeld in you.

The track “Zodiac” (production from Bambonou, remixes from Das Glow and Panteros666) where Teki rap/sings over a laidback, synthbased futuristic dance beat. The whole EP is offered as a free download via the campaign website so get over there and get your drink on…

Teki Latex should need no introduction and this mix is vibes galore (there’s even a sneak peek of his Bambounou collabo remix for Myrryrs which will be out on Discobelle Records soon).

“This mixtape is a round up of my recent collaborations and remixes organized around a little exercise: each track of mine is mixed in and out of tracks that have somehow influenced said Teki track. My taste in electronic music covers quite a wide spectrum and the tracks i co-produce and/or chose to put some vocals over are sometimes going in different, some might think opposite directions. With this mix i was trying to explain the weird logic behind it all, to show why it all makes perfect sense to me by highlighting the missing links between my works. I also wanted to demonstrate how my tracks and the directions i choose to take in my music are (humbly) made to be interpreted as “missing links” between these classic tracks I love. As usual with most of my solo mixes this was mixed completely live with my CDJs in the mighty computer room, so please excuse the occasional “ruggedness” of it: this is how i like it, and i hope you will enjoy it too. Make sure you grab a copy of our “5th Dimension EP” when it drops May 2nd on Marble!”
