Babylon Week 8

Like every Saturday from 0.30 to 2am (CET) , Babylon will be aired on the Italian national radio Radio 2 Rai and it will feature our Martin discussing the hottest internet surfaced track of the week.

Playlist for Saturday episode will also feature a 10 minutes minipartymix created exclusively for the show by Crookers plus new sounds from Shake Aletti, Superlover, Congorock & a very special phone call with Bob Rifo from the Bloody Beetroots. Tom Staar will close the show with his personal Top 5 chart and the host Carlo Pastore and resident dj His Majesty Andre will make you feel good for 90 minutes straight.

New Noise

During my high school years i must have seen Refused at least 20 times, and listened to their epic album “The Shape Of Punk To Come” an uncountable number of times. Now, 12 years later, Epitaph are releasing a deluxe edition of the album that made a stunning impact on people all over the world. June 9th sees the release and in the meantime here’s the Bloody Beetroots vs. Refused remix version of that anthem “New Noise”.

Not only the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will take place this friday (080808) but also a pretty crazy event takes place in Stockholm. WESC are the promoters and they’ll turn the Stureplan district smack in the centre of the city into a giant club (capacity 50 000) with top dj’s such as: Steve Angello och Sebastian Ingrosso, The Bloody Beetroots and Busy P. To promote the party we got this remix of the Aston Shuffle track “Stomp Yo Shoes” done by The Bloody Beetroots (sorry, stream only).

Bugo – Primitivo (Congorock Remix)

We’ve been fans of the new rising star from Italy, Congorock, ever since he first started sending us e-mails with his tracks/mixes. Now he’s inked a deal with Fools Gold Records (look out for an EP dropping soonish), started working with The Bloody Beetroots and the rest of the electro elite + he’s just finished a few dates in the US where he, according to our friends in Palms Out, “blew up”. Here’s his latest track, a hard hitting remix of the Bugo track “Primitivo”. We have to say that we haven’t heard of Bugo before but he’s apparently a Italian singer/songwriter. This is a dancefloor stormer if we ever heard one so enjoy it.
