The Crépes

The Crépes are the new Swedish pop super duo which consists of Fredrik Lindson (½ of The Embassy) + Dan Lissvik (½ of Studio). They just released their first vinyl album “What Else?” on Information Records a couple of days ago and it almost immediately sold out (stray copies may be found over at Juno, Phonica or Piccadilly. You can also wait until August 27th for the CD/digital release). The title track – “What Else” – is not as breezy and balearic as their regular outfits but it’s a captivating piece of pop music.

PUB party

pub

This is mostly for our Swedish readers.

The iconic Stockholm department store PUB will open up the new and improved first floor (PUB 01) today. If you are in the city then you should take part of the festivities (courtesy of AWB and +46/ODD Projects) that actually continues all the way until Saturday night. Labels such as Acne, Nudie, WeSC, Denim Demon, Whyred, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair and Rodebjer will all open up new stores and there’s a ton of stuff happening to celebrate this. DJ-marathons will run throughout the weekend where you´ll find our blog friends in 24:Hours and Stockholm Beat Connection playing some tunes together with the disco fanatics in Rollerboys and a few others. There will also be live performances from The Embassy and Sahara Hotnights. To promote the event, here’s the Ultracity (½ of Rollerboys) track “Klee” from their release “Epic Disco Vol. 1″. Get ready for a smashing party!
