Nice summer jam from the dirty south, it’s good to hear Lil Flip again. We’ll be bumping this at the beach this weekend. (Via The Fader)

Nike Sportswear x The Fader: Pitch Perfect

Nike Sportswear and our friends over at The Fader got together for the Pitch Perfect project where they’ll be giving away mixes from each continent (well, except Antarctica). Yesterday saw the first mixtape in the series, it came from Maga Bo and focused on South America. Today we get Sindens Europe mix which features our very own Jamtech Foundation with the smashing Zombie Disco Squad remix of their “Too Fast” track.

“There are 47 countries in Europe—almost as many individual nations as there are states in the United States. It’s an imaginary umbrella covering a disparate continent. What’s the same about Galicia and Amsterdam? Prague and Oslo? Europe has mountain ranges and crazy beaches, consistent sun and perpetual fog. And while it may have a long entangled history, a plethora of exports, specialties and pastimes, what it is now known for is a ravenous appetite for dance music. Every corner of Europe has its own breed of bass, its specific sliver of drum love—there is hardly a nook without its own signature beat. For our Pitch Perfect Europe mixtape, British selector and producer Sinden takes a survey of what’s newest and greatest, with a slant on Europe’s beloved house music. It may only represent a fraction of the continent’s offerings, but wherever you live, we promise it sounds extra fresh.”

Moombahton500

Moombahton

Our Vancouver homie Neoteric just tipped us off about this new thing that Dave Nada started making, it’s called moombahton and it’s dutch house slowed down.

“Dave Nada invented Moombahton (pronounced Moom-buh-tone) at his little cousin’s house party when he slowed an Afrojack remix down to 108 beats per minute. Since then, he’s been making reggaeton-tempo edits of Dutch house and tropical house, and clubs have been going crazy for the stuff”

Sissy Nobby – Lay Me Down (L-Vis 1990 remix) (video)

The massive Sissy Nobby “Lay Me Down” remix EP is released today on Mixpak Records, also features remixes from DJ Sega, A1 Bassline, Renaissance Man and more.

FADER/SoCo 7″ – Tanlines/SALEM – Contest Giveaway

We know you love SALEM as much as we do so we hooked up three EPs with their collab for The Fader/SoCo 7″ with Tanlines. Fill in your details here and we will send three of you a free copy of the record (there are only 500 copies available).

“The 11th installment of the FADER/Southern Comfort 7-inch series has arrived and this—not just for AJ Fusco’s shadowy cover at—is a dark one. Between Midwesterners, SALEM’s “Babydaddy” extended take on synth goth with vocalist Heather soft wailing, and Brooklyn’s Tanlines‘ “S.A.W.,” lamenting “the older I get,”—in their first track with full vocals verses—these are two late fall pieces.”

Savage Skulls (ft. Andy Milonakis) – Chickentown

Swedish Savage Skulls and Andy Milonakis what a combo!! Just found out that Carli (one half of Savage Skulls) was on stage with Major Lazer at the Fader fort in Austin. Foolish of me thinking I was the only Swede present.

Jenny Wilson – Pass Me The Salt (Front Of House remix)

Between visits to New York (where she recently played at the CMJ festival and a Fader-party), Paris and Copenhagen, Jenny Wilson took the time to shake up some remixes for new single “Pass Me The Salt” which is featured on her recent jaw dropping album “Hardships”. The single will be out January 13th as a 12″ and digital maxi with remixes. The track features the fabolous Mapei who drops in for some cooler than thou rapping. This is the first remix to emerge, it comes from Stockholm duo Front Of House and is one funky affair.
