A new festival is popping up in Stockholm this summer, it’s called OSC09. It will take place between August 13th-August 15th, it’s a collaboration between Restaurang Landet and the art centre Färgfabriken. The focus is on electronic music (art, live – and club music) and it will also integrate film, seminars and exhibitions with the music. In total there will be 25 artists, 25 exhibitions, 10 clubs and three stages. The aim is to become Stockholms own Sonar festival.

We at Discobelle can offer two lucky people passes for all three days of the festival, all you have to do is answer this question: “What’s the name of the label that headlining act The Juan Maclean are signed to?”. Send your answers here with the subject line “OSC09″.

Some of the artists performing are: The Juan Maclean (US), ADA (DE), Todd Terje (NO), Style Of Eye (Swe), Sick Girls (DE), Adrian Lux (Swe), Heartsrevolution (US), The Field (Swe), Scuba (UK) etc.

For the complete lineup and more info about the festival, go to the OSC09 website.

We missed posting this the other day but now after the weekend madness, it’s about time we get it up. New track “The More That I Do” from Swedish techno producer The Field (AKA Axel Willner), it’s first single off his upcoming album “Yesterday And Today” which will be out May 18th on Kompakt. Techy and pulsating but with a warm sound which gives us a summery feeling.

Just had to do this post about a mega party that the fine people in Swim Fast are throwing tomorrow night at Debaser here in Malmö. The night will feature performances from Brooklyn blog favorites in the electro/hip hop/dance/80’s/booty duo Purple Crush, Swedish technopop connoisseurs The Field + more bands and a ton of local dj’s. If you’re in the area, this is a must visit.

This track “Go Digital” is a storming updated 80’s disco track that sees Purple Crush team up with rising NYC rapper Leif. Check out the new Purple Crush album “Blog Party” that was just released.
