“Colouring The Pigeons” is a beautiful 11 minute track from Swedish duo The Knife, the track is taken from the upcoming collaboration with Mt. Sims and Planningtorock which is a studio version of the opera “Tomorrow, In A Year”. The album will be released on March 1st.

This remix by UK duo Fuck Buttons is the b-side to the upcoming Fever Ray (Karin Dreijer from The Knife) single “If I Had A Heart” which drops on January 26th. Her self titled album is available now from Klicktrack and it’s a dark, haunting affair which can also be said for the single although Fuck Buttons gives the track a taste of their flair.

Fever Ray is the new solo project from Karin Dreijer who is also in The Knife. “If I Had A Heart” is an eerie instrumental track and it’s perfect sunday music.

Our neighbours in Norway have been reigning the balearic disco scene for a few years now, almost to the point where you’d expect nothing else coming out of the fair country. Dubby disco edit master Rune Lindbaek might not be the most famous of the bunch, although he’s worked with pretty much everyone in the scene, but he sure packs a mean punch with this remix which sees that excellent The Knife track “Heartbeats” catapulted into a dancefloor stormer. The way Rune works in some more of those steel drums, a sweet shuffling bassline and simple yet effective handclaps makes our hearts beat a little faster and breathes new life into this, in mp3-blog time, ancient track.

Rune is currently working on an album called “Desire Lines” with the Idjut Boys which will be released on Smalltown Supersound sometime in october/november. The first 12″ from the album will drop shortly.

“The Jacket” is the first single from the Swedish band First Floor Power’s third album “Don’t Back Down!”, coming out this May. “The Jacket” is also the name of the 12” remix EP with four different remixes of the song courtesy of Karin Dreijer from The Knife, Hortlax Cobra (Peter, Bjørn and John), Peter Visti and The Tremolo Beer Gut.
