NY duo The Knocks comes off the immense success of the dancefloor hit “Classic” with a slower groove “Dancing With Myself.” Featuring the silky smooth vocals of JPatt with additional vocoder work, “Dancing With Myself” is a sexy time tune with a dirty bass and guitar work by Ross Clark of St. Lucia. Fall in love with this one.

We’re heading to the desert this weekend, are you coming too? That’s right, Coachella is upon us and even if you weren’t able to snag a ticket to the festival there’s still plenty of magic happening outside of those polo grounds. Our favorite¬†pick is The Saguaro Desert Weekender taking place at one of our favorite hotels in the whole wide world. Check up the lineup for the 3 day extravaganza along with a nice little mix from The Knocks to set the mood. You can RSVP at http://thesaguarodesertweekender.com/.

DC’s Lightwaves get his live band together to remix The Knocks featuring X Ambassadors’ single “Comfortable,” giving the track a funky swing. Lightwaves plans to take his original material (which you can listen to here) and bring it to a stage near you soon so keep it locked for more.

There’s no denying that sex sells and one look at The Knocks’ cover art for their latest single “Comfortable” confirms that. Four scantily clad ladies are pictured with blas√© expressions sitting in an ornately decorated room, the very picture of excess. If this visual wasn’t enough stimulation, one listen of the song will definitely bring you to a climax. Featuring X Ambassadors lead singer Sam Harris’ vocals (whose range is INSANE and is someone I’ve admired for a long time), “Comfortable” drips with sensuality while maintaining a fun, upbeat vibe that makes it near impossible not to want to do a body roll or two…or five. Take a listen below.

Peter Thomas, the 22-year-old wunderkind Neon Gold has dubbed “the young prince,” is back with a glistening high-energy remix of New York duo The Knocks. Thomas, who first caught my ear via his production work on Betty Who‘s stunning debut EP The Movement, continues to establish his distinctive solo sound on this track. As in the remix of Phoenix’s “Entertainment” he dropped last month, Thomas whips up a glittery whirlwind of frenetic but funky synth blips en route to an outro that’s pure melodic bliss.

Peter is currently putting the finishing touches on his first original productions, and has also started work on the next Betty Who EP.
