“I Was Gonna Cancel” (written and produced by Pharrell) is the 2nd single to be taken from Kylie’s brand new album “Kiss Me Once” and the single will be released on May 12th.

Australian duo The Presets flips the original into dance pop heaven aided by spaced out synth sounds and a steady beat.

“We have always had the utmost respect for Kylie as a pop star and an Australian Icon. After we DJed for her recently in Sydney she asked us to remix “I Was Gonna a Cancel”. Saying yes was a no brainer.”

A man such as Lifelike needs little or no introduction. From his genre-defining colloboration with Kris Menace, to his work with such labels at Vulture and Work It Baby to remixing The Presets and Chromeo… indeed, little introduction is needed.

Enter the man’s latest single, “Night Patrol,” on his very on label, Computer Science. All the typical hallmarks are there; funky beats, arpeggios, neon chord stabs and deftly disguised samples (just use your Imagination, you’ll find it…)

Take a this exclusive, sneak peak at the mans new work and hold your breath for a set release date of 12/02/13.

The fact “Fall” was the fourth single off Aussie electropop duo The Presets‘ 2012 LP Pacifica is no small indication of that album’s depth. With his new remix of this great track, Danish producer Tomas Barfod (of WhoMadeWho fame) takes what was originally a glistening, euphoric 90s Euro House throwback and transforms it into a moody slow-building ballad. Groaning subterranean synths and driving disco percussion provide a perfect backdrop for Julian Hamilton’s full-throated vocals. The official Fall remix package – featuring the likes of Alan Braxe, Hook N Sling and SymbolOne – will be released soon via Modular.

Trap vibes wash up onto Sydney shores as Australian duo Hermitude embrace the 808 sound for their remix of the Presets‘ new single “Ghosts.”

You wont’ find any “damn son” samples or machine gun blasts here though, just solid drumline percussion with a ravey synth lead and chopped up vocals.

Check the short n’ sweet rework bellow.

The Presets’ Pacifica album is out Sept. 7 on Modular Records. Stream a new track from the record every day this week over at modularpeople.com.
