The Shoes are a French electro pop duo from Reims which seems to be a breeding ground for electronic producers, Yuksek and Brodinski also originates from the area. The Shoes have made quite a splash in the last year with remix work for the likes of Santigold, Late Of The Pier, The Virgins, Mystery Jets. They’ve also toured all over the world where they’ve played at some of the top festivals. Their new EP “People Movin” will be released on November 9th and features the vocal offerings of Primary 1. We’ve got the glitchy disco/electronica sounding remix from German graffiti artist turned producer Siriusmo that will have you dancing in no time.
After being friends for almost 20 years, our favorite Parisian b-more producer/dj – Kazey – finally joins forces productionwise with fellow countryman Freon for this massively thumping, rave laced remix of new single “America” from electro outfit The Shoes.
French producer Yuksek has been featured aplenty here on Discobelle in the past. He’s been busy in studio working away on his debut album “Away From The Sea” (which is about to be released worldwide) but he still managed to find the time to churn out this remix for fellow French duo The Shoes (who released their debut EP “Stade De Reims” yesterday). This track is a prime example of that pounding electro sound complete with loads of breakdowns, sharp synths and catchy vocals.
Wiley made one of our favorite club tracks so far this year with the huge “Wearing My Rolex”. Here is Hot Chip with a charming cover of the track done up in their trademark electropop style. (Thanks to the wonderful Ghazal)
