Det Vackra Livet – Viljan (Dan Lissvik remix)

One of our favorite Swedish producers – Dan Lissvik (of Studio fame) gives us this remix of the track “Viljan” by brother duo Det Vackra Livet (side project of The Mary Onettes) and is taken off their debut album that’s coming May 2. Dan Lissvik has carved out a niche with his shuffling rerubs and this is no exception sounding like some sort of haunting prog-balearic soundtrack to a drunken night that starts out in major but ends in minor.

Am I Just A Man

Well, hello there Studio! We’ve missed you like crazy and glad to hear that you’re back. The remix of the new Steve Mason single track “Am I Just A Man” from the Gothenburg princes of balearic chugs along for more than 6 splendid minutes filled with a backbeat and what can only be described as discosmelling popreggae.

Brothers Of End – Beats For You (version by Rasmus Hägg)

Swedish indie outfit Brothers Of End released their debut record last year to much critical acclaim. The track “Beats For You” is the third single off the album and contains this remix from Rasmus Hägg (of The Studio fame). The stripped down and pitter, pattering remix stretches out the original track and keeps you dancing, or should we say – swaying, tapping your feet and bobbing your head – for almost 7 minutes.
