Lake Heartbeat is the new project from 90’s Swedish indiepop icon Janne Kask (formerly of a group called Brainpool). The quiet pop single “Between Dreams” was produced by Dan Lissvik (of Studio fame) and was just released on Service which happens to be one of the best labels in Sweden (think The Tough Alliance, Jens Lekman etc).

A while back we posted the pretty amazing Windsurf remix of The Tough Alliance track “Neo Violence” (the remix single is released on Modular Records). Today, we’re able to bring you remix done by Shazam who is an up and coming producer hailing from Perth, Australia. He hands us a filtered French house remix that takes The Tough Alliance to the club.

The Tough Alliance are ready to take over the world with the aid of premier Aussie label Modular Records who will release the latest CD “A New Chance” internationally on September 25th.

The forthcoming single “Neo Violence” comes packed with a few sweet remixes; Zongamin, Woolfy and Laidback Luke have all joined in but we’re feeling this shuffling and stripped down balearic dub from Windsurf who turns the original hooligandisco track into sounding like something we’d play while sipping drinks somewhere where it’s too hot to move around.

The Australian party monsters/producers/dj’s in the Bang Gang crew are throwing one huge 100 Mega Dance party tomorrow (April 4th) at the ARQ Nightclub in Sydney. Swedish electropop hooligans in The Tough Alliance will be making an apperance along with one of our favorite dj duos, Chi-Town heroes Flosstradamus and german electro outfit Munk. Besides all these international names, the Bang Gang people themselves will be on the decks together with Ajax + there will be lots more happening at the party.
