The Golden Filter – Syndromes/Mother (video)

NYC duo The Golden Filter just did a short film and soundtrack, the film is a collaboration with Scandinavian director Kristoffer Borgli and centres around a girl with unique talents, entwined in an elite underworld only known to the wealthy. The trailer is soundtracked by their track “Mother”, check it out in the video above. The film will be released on October 10th on the band’s own label Perfectly Isolated and The Vinyl Factory will release a limited edition run of the soundtrack.

Hot Chip giveaway

A weekend treat for all you avid Discobelle readers courtesy of the good people over at The Vinyl Factory. One lucky person will get this super limited edition of the recently released album “One Life Stand” from everyones favorite British electropopsters in Hot Chip. “Working closely with Hot Chip and their long-term designer Wallzo, The Vinyl Factory present a special limited art edition of the band’s stunning new album, which was released on 1st February 2010.

Limited to just 1,000 hand-numbered copies worldwide, the edition includes two super-heavyweight vinyl records containing the 10 tracks comprising ‘One Life Stand’, crafted on The Vinyl Factory-owned, legendary EMI 1400 vinyl press located in Hayes, Middlesex. Also featuring an exclusive Hot Chip art print of the ‘One Life Stand’ cover artwork, it is presented in a heavyweight gatefold sleeve with bespoke artwork printed on both sides, and also houses a very special and exclusive surprise!

The Vinyl Factory will also release new and exclusive art and vinyl collaborations with Massive Attack, Grace Jones and acclaimed composer Michael Nyman in 2010. The Vinyl Factory also run an independent music & arts magazine and website (FACT) and record shop (Phonica, Poland Street, Soho, London). The Vinyl Factory Berlin is due to launch in Spring 2010.”
