(thee) Mike B is based out of Los Angeles and he is one of those dj’s dj whereas pretty much an all star cast of dj’s/producers gives him well deserved praise, he also happens to be one of Discobelle’s oldest friends.

Now, he has teamed up with Eevo to breathe new life into the classic The Avalanches track “Frontier Psychiatrist” which we can premiere on Discobelle, their chopped up take features a frantic, housed up beat and lingering horn samples throughout this absolute banger which has already been praised by the likes of Nick Catchdubs, Curses, Astronomar, Tony Quattro, Classixx, Ardalan, Oliver Dollar and Switch etc.

Los Angeles based producer/dj Thee Mike B has been part of the Discobelle family ever since we started the blog almost 10 years ago and his 2008 mix for our old Mixin It Up series is still one of our favorites.

Seven years later and we can now proudly present another epic mix from Thee Mike B, this one will take you on one awesome ride consisting of 2 hours+ worth of amazing tracks all mixed with ease and finesse – running through a bunch of tracks and remixes from Thee Mike B himself (in the form of various alter egos), exclusive edits, a string of classics, some forgotten gems and some of that new dopeness.

Tracklist after the jump.

LA-native Thee Mike B teams up with Twin Turbo for his latest EP “Late Nite Acid”, which is exactly that. “Tree House Acid” is a mixture of industrial techno and acid house filled with organic elements like jungle beats and bongos, while his collaborations with Oliver Dollar and Blu Jemz ooze with funk and soul while keeping a classic robotic sound. The term “cosmic farts” comes to mind if that makes any sense to you.

Newcomer TRACE7000 takes a groove driven approach to “Tree House Acid” creating a more dance floor friendly track, while Sage Caswell‘s remake is a hard-hitting techno bomb filled with rapid oscillating synths and mechanical overtones. Last but not least BNR’s very own Madame finishes things off with a his take on “Late At Night,” which is filled with heavy French electro sounds and a pounding bassline.

“Late Nite Acid” will be available online May 4th, until then you can listen below.
