This is not a drill. Beloved beatmaker, prolific producer and so-so solo artist Timbaland has stepped in to remix one of the hottest young R&B prospects of the past several years. The drums are heavy and the strings are epic, like we’d expect any less from Timbaland. That said, Jacob Bank’s harrowing vocal work still stands tall amongst all that production prowess, but it’s a cosign that shouldn’t be ignored by any means.

Today seems to be the day of remixes of throwback favorites. Next on deck is PLS&TY, who’ve turned out a great rework of Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland’s “Promiscuous.” The track starts off with Nelly and Timbaland’s vocal interplay to a tropical beat that has us thinking about Turquoise Jeep’s “Smang It” (strangely enough). The harmonized fusion of hip-hop and electronic sound matched with a hard-hitting bass line makes this remix one of our favorites. Be sure to grab the free download on this one!

Rick Ross is set to drop his new album “Hood Billionaire” on November 24th, the latest track to emerge from the album is the Timbaland produced head nodder “Movin Bass” on which we get bars from the one and only Jay Z.

Beyonce surprises everyone and ends off 2013 with the release of “Beyoncé: The Visual Album” which is a 14 track album featuring guest performances from Jay-Z, Drake, Frank Ocean, Pharrell, Timbaland, Kelly Rowland, Justin Timberlake etc.
