The Toxic Avenger

Our French buddy, the electro demon known as The Toxic Avenger, is about to release two new records on September 29th. A new 12″ entitled “Toxic Is Dead” (out on Iheartcomix and it comes backed with remixes from Drop The Lime, Franki Chan and South Central) and also a Scion CD sampler compilation of that includes 5 new original tracks and of course a myriade of heavy remixes from the likes of Switch, The Juan Maclean, Acid Girls, Jakwob, Designer Drugs, Harvard Bass, Ocelot, Ladytron and Burns. He is also heading out on a Scion release tour in October to support the CD sampler, stops will be NYC, Austin, Cleveland and Philly.

We’ve got the storming title track “Toxic Is Dead” + an absolutely stunning tribalistic remix from the oh so talented L.A duo Acid Girls of the track “любовь навсегда”.

This wasn’t what I expected from WILDLIFE! but after working with production for Terry Lynn’s debut album “Kingstonlogic 2.0″ and his remixes for Radioclit and Ghislain Poirier, WILDLIFE! choose to remix the French-Finnish pop duo The Dø.

Smalltown DJs – Eurodance mix + tour

Smalltown DJs are responsible for a smashing Mixin’ It Up and now the boys are headed to Europe for a string of dates all over the continent, including one at The Rumble in our hometown of Malmö. To promote their upcoming shenanagans, they put together a Eurodance promo mix which consists of “more heavy Euro dance tunes than usual”. Check the mix and then get busy on the dancefloor.

Fires Of Rome – Set In Stone (Don Rimini remix)

We haven’t heard about NYC rockers Fires Of Rome before, but we do know about Parisian producer Don Rimini (his remix contest that we hosted back in August massacred our inbox so we know alot of you out there are also into him).

Here he remixes the track “Set In Stone” which happens to the first single from the Fires Of Rome debut album “You Kingdom You” (out soonish on The:Hours Records). The remix is also featured on the “Set In Stone Remix EP” (additional remixes coming from M83, Dada Life, Mo DJ, and DJ Angola)

Jokers Of The Scene – Baggy Bottom Boys

Scion keeps dropping heat with the help of some of the hottest labels around. Their latest release is a double remix CD done in collaboration with Fools Gold Records and it’s jam packed with goodies. The first disc features brand-new remixes of Fool’s Gold artists by everyone from Chromeo to Surkin to Jori Hulkkonen, the second disc is a “24 Karat Hits” mix by Nick Catchdubs featuring some of the biggest tracks from Fools Gold in the past year.

Ottawas own Jokers Of The Scene be killing it with this epic pianolaced remix of their own ravey stomper “Baggy Bottom Boys”. We can’t wait for their “Acid Bagg EP” to drop…

Those crazy Icelanders in electrocrunk outfit Steed Lord are back! They have fully recovered from the nasty car crash that they were involved in a while back and they’re heading to the US this weekend for a tour.
