Marine Parade just featured the AC Slater dub remix of the Freeland track “Only a Fool” on the new Freeland remix compilation “Cope Remixed”. Now, AC gives us the vocal version which stays true to his form of producing smashing tracks that also features some of that smittening wobble bass. AC Slater is about to put out a new single which will distributed for free via blogs in November and he also has a new single dropping in February on Trouble & Bass + his “Calm Down” EP will be released in March.

Kowloon was a tiny Chinese enclave that was located in the middle of British Hong Kong for decades. Originally a military fort, it became a very dense urban settlement, until it was torn down in 1993. The city was notorious for its excess of brothels, casinos, opium dens, cocaine parlours, food courts serving dog meat, and secret factories. Personally, one of our favourite spots in Hong Kong.

The French maestro Teki Latex just sent us a track from the upcoming release on his fine imprint Sound Pellegrino. You’ve all heard of Mikix The Cat which is the more in your face alter ego of Momma’s Boy AKA Mike Gnacadja. Star Eyes has been dj’ing since the age of 15 and now it’s time for her to drop her first EP “Disappear” which is filled with what should be called “haunted house”. The title track is produced with Drop The Lime and it’s a raved up acid bass monster with mind boggling backwards vocals whereas this remix by Paris own Trouble & Bass bandit Mikix The Cat shows us what happens when you incorporate some of that French flavoured house.
