Swedish but Berlin based label Trunkfunk Records are on a roll at the moment, their latest release is the “Bitchfight” EP from British producers Trevor Loveys and Affie Yusuf. The track features Spoek (our favorite South African rapper and all around amazing fella) and this awesome remix from Gothenburg trio The Touch which boasts some tribalistic drums, a little bit of that wobble bass, cowbells and layers of synthy goodness.

Fredrik AKA DJ Nibc is originally from Gothenburg, Sweden but now resides in Berlin where he runs the Trunkfunk label. He just finished a long (2 hours 20 minutes) live mix that is basically a conclusion of his summer in Berlin. This mix is filled with good stuff such as three exclusive Trunkfunk tracks; among them a remix from Stuffa (on the same track there’s a remix from Berlin big shots Jesse Rose & Oliver $) and also a new track from Gothenburg trio The Touch.

PS. Nibc will be back in Gothenburg for the Way Out West festival where he’s doing a club night on August 14th and 15th + dj’ing alongside Crookers.

David Ekenbäck is one of the rising stars on the Swedish dance music scene, providing us with dynamic tech-house but still keeping it in check with the addition of softer melodies. Style Of Eye gives us a deeper techno take on the track “Nairu”, which we think would be very well suited for late nights in warehouses in Berlin.

This is a hard post to write.

We just received this club anthemlike remix of the Stuffa & Andy track “Pretty Girls”, which also features all out awesome rapper Mapei, from Jo-han of Krazy Fiesta fame and Fredrik AKA DJ Nibc (owner of label Trunkfunk Records).

This was the last track that Jo-han and Jesper in Krazy Fiesta worked on together before Jespers tragic passing one year ago. As we wrote then, we only met Jesper a few times and besides being very talented he was also one of the nicest people we had the good fortune to meet. His music and memory will live on.

In loving memory of Jesper, this is for you!
