New UK based label Strangelove heads out of the gate at breakneck speed March 3rd with their smashing inaugural release “A Little Weird EP” which comes from prolific SF-based producer, Anabatic Records founder, Dirtybird affiliate and Discobelle fam Worthy.

The title track is offered right here as a Discobelle exclusive premiere and it’s an hypnotic, acid bleeped out, bass filled techy monster that will leave clubs in shambles.

SF producer Worthy has been a driving force within the US dance music scene since the early 90’s, in 2001 he moved to San Francisco where he’s been working closely together with among others the Dirtybird crew and also started his own label Anabatic Records.

His eclectic sound is reflected in this exclusive mix done for us in Discobelle on which we get to hear a perfectly executed and funky mix of future house, bassfilled sounds and straight up techno.

Tracklist for the mix after the jump.

BONUS: Check out his dope remix of the Flume & Chet Faker track “What About Us”.

Oakland based producer and Dirtybird cohort, Worthy, is on the precipice of career highlight – his debut album is about to drop! Entitled ‘Disbehave’ and forthcoming on his own, Anabatic Records, one can only speculate what goodies are in store.

Enter the first single from said album and we’re graced with the bittersweet vibes of “The Words” which features the lovely vocal talents of one Audio Angel. With a sleek, straightforward delivery not unlike that of Anna Lunoe’s, the pairing of these two is nothing short of heavenly.

Look for the teaser EP on May 20th and full length album, June 10th.

Dirtybirder and Anabatic boss Worthy with a spectacular sounding remix of the classic Ol Dirty Bastard track “Shimmy Shimmy Ya”.

“I had an idea a year ago to do a remix of “Shimmy Shimmy Ya”, but was so focused on producing my full-length album that I had to put it on the back burner. When I went at it this year, it just came together so perfectly. I think since Wu Tang recently came out with new material, the energy was out there and the Shaolin came down and blessed me creatively. The track is the perfect blend of bass and suspense that I love in my songs.”

Today I’m particularly enjoying Worthy’s latest single “Get It”, which is his first original release this year. On top of that, it’s available as a free download. The Dirtybird label boss specializes in ‘booty shakin’ music’ and this track’s definitely full of gyrations. He personally describes his music as “future booty house; a unique subgenre of bass, techno, and twerk.” “Get It” follows his 2012 project “Why You Waiting” that first came out of Alive Records and features a similar vocal sample and all new bassline.
