XXXChange (noted for his work with Spank Rock et al) gives the Dance Area smash track “AA 24/7” a breath of fresh air with his edit that beefs it up, slipping in a b-more like beat + adds some sweet synth action.
Downtown Records are running a remix competition with Amanda Blank. Since we know we got a lot of upcoming producers around here we thought we might give it a push.
“Producers, DJs, and Remixers: Downtown Records wants to hear your remix of Amanda Blank’s “Might Like You Better“. Join the ranks of fellow Amanda Blank producers Diplo, Armani XXXChange, and Dave Sitek. The 5 best submissions will appear on a RCRD LBL feature, the Downtown Records website, the Amanda Blank Official Website, the Amanda Blank Myspace, Facebook, and Imeem Profiles. The selected tracks will receive the benefit of the full weight of Downtown Records promotion. This is not only a great opportunity to remix a great performance off of Amanda Blank’s upcoming Record, “I Love You”, it’s also an opportunity for aspiring producers, remixers, and DJs to get exposure for their underappreciated work.”
Spank Rock member and all around awesome guy Alex XXXChange hit us up to tell us about this rejected remix of the track “Rich Girls” that he did for NYC indierockers The Virgins. Apparently the label thought it was “too dancey”…
Pop outfit Sunny Day Sets Fire are set to release their debut album “Summer Palace” in the UK on February 23rd 2009. Their “Adrenaline” EP is set to drop on February 9th and features this remix from Spank Rock producer XXXChange.

One of our favorite dj’s, XXXChange, just put out a new mix. When not busy with producing or touring the world with the likes of Spank Rock, Santogold, Devlin & Darko etc. he’s stays at home and cranks out mixes (you might remember his recent film soundtrack only mix for We Make It Good/Shilo) and this latest mix is a better reflection of what he plays in the club.
Back from vacation in NYC where both the Usher track “Love In This Club” and the Lil Wayne track “Lollipop” were played pretty much everywhere, in clubs and blasting out of apartments, cars etc.
This is something completely different, XXXChange brings us yet another fine remix. A handclap and feelgood filled take on the track “Make It So” from the forthcoming album “Love To Make Music To” by experimental hip-hop/electronic artist Daedalus makes a perfect companion for those sunfilled strolls around the city.
