Zombie Disco Squad vs. The Criime – Colors + Made To Play podcast

London/Berlin duo Zombie Disco Squad have been one of the top players of the Made To Play label for some time now and with the release of their new single “Piano Man”, they’ll definetely cement that position.

On the verge of the release, they offer us a new track done in collaboration with Luxembourg duo The Criime, “Colors” is a warm, soulful techhouse groover with a tingling melody and vocals that feel like they were lit up by sunshine.

Zombie Disco Squad (ft. Spoek Mathambo) – We Should Bang (re-release)

Them Zombie Disco Squad boys are back in full effect after a brief hiatus with the re-release and re-working of the “We Should Bang” single (the original was released on Deadfish last year), you know the one where South African rap prince Spoek Mathambo let’s us in how to treat the ladies when you’re on a date over an equally infectious and sleazy beat. Booking agency and label Jackmode drops the updated single that goes deeper and dirtier, all intertwined by a moody techno beat and a drop so huge it will raise hell on dancefloors. Berlin duo AKA AKA along with Monkey Safari heads the remixes with two different but equally amazing offerings. As an exclusive, we here at Discobelle can offer you the dub version of the track proves that even without the vocals, this is one sinister affair.

BONUS: New exclusive mixtape for Discobelle from Nat and Lucas, it’s a big one.

Camel – Blow Up

Talented Italian producer Camel has been locked in his studio for the last few months, putting the finishing touches on his “Blow Up EP”. It’s the second EP to drop on the newly started Jackmode record label and it will be released on August 30th. For those of you that already are familiar, you know what to expect: moody yet groovy, samplebased techhouse that twists into your brain and won’t let go. The good people at the Jackmode conglomerate have given us a mix (and interview) that Camel recently did for Pulse Radio, a preview of the whole EP + and exclusive track in the form of a live Green Velvet mash up from Zombie Disco Squader Nat Self! Grab it all below and get turned onto the addictive world of Camel!

NAT SELF – MR. MONKEY (RACHEL BARTON REMIX)

From the first listen to Nat Self of Zombie Disco Squad’s re-edit of Edwin Starr’s protest song “War”, I was hooked. It took all the oomph and fun of a classic track, and repackaged it in some bumpy house anthem that kept all the sincerity of the vocals of the original while maintaining an infectious jacking house energy.

Whereas the solo work from Luca Lozano (the other half of the duo) for Klasse Recordings honed in on a bit more of the minimal elements of ZDS’s productions, the new “Dinner Party On The Moon” EP from Nat on the notably emerging Jackmode Music label feels like a much more unhinged version of Zombie Disco Squad trax – rave anthems to be blasted at a festival while intermittently blowing on a whistle and grinding your teeth.

Grab a Rachel Barton remix of one of the bounciest cuts from the EP below:

The fine Swiss gentlemen in Round Table Knights put together another edition of their seasonal mix series, their Autumn mix is absolutely splendid and as you probably already well aware of when it comes to this duo – filled with an exquisite track selection and as always flawlessly executed.
