Jackmode goodies

Daniel over at Jackmode Agency (home to among others Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team, Solo, Round Table Knights, Renaissance Man, Justin Martin, Christian Martin, Camel, Zombie Disco Squad) have been stepping up the game lately with a string of spectacular signings and it feels like they’re about to take over with an ever expanding empire.

Yesterday saw an e-mail pop up in our inbox filled to the brink with bootleg goodies courtesy of Camel, Monkey Safari, Homework, Worthy & Yankee Zulu, J Phlip, Pol On and Beware & Motorpitch.

Zombie Disco Squad (ft. Spoek Mathambo) – We Should Bang Tonight (video teaser)

Forthcoming on Deadfish Audio, Zombie Disco Squad links up with one of the hardest working people we know – Spoek Mathambo – for a major track. We’re looking forward to this release.

“It was only right, after being in the same circles as one Mr. Mathambo/Mokgata….we finally hooked it up and made this Chicago-esq track. Remixes come from Solo and Mowgli, both adding a more tech, ratatatat sound to the original. Hope you like!”

King Kong

The new “King Kong EP” from the Zombie Disco Squad boys will be released by Made To Play sublabel Play It Down on August 16th. The two funky driven techhousey tracks that we can hear in the Soundcloud preview below sounds fresh and also feel like a natural progression for the hard working London duo.

Nike Sportswear x The Fader: Pitch Perfect

Nike Sportswear and our friends over at The Fader got together for the Pitch Perfect project where they’ll be giving away mixes from each continent (well, except Antarctica). Yesterday saw the first mixtape in the series, it came from Maga Bo and focused on South America. Today we get Sindens Europe mix which features our very own Jamtech Foundation with the smashing Zombie Disco Squad remix of their “Too Fast” track.

“There are 47 countries in Europe—almost as many individual nations as there are states in the United States. It’s an imaginary umbrella covering a disparate continent. What’s the same about Galicia and Amsterdam? Prague and Oslo? Europe has mountain ranges and crazy beaches, consistent sun and perpetual fog. And while it may have a long entangled history, a plethora of exports, specialties and pastimes, what it is now known for is a ravenous appetite for dance music. Every corner of Europe has its own breed of bass, its specific sliver of drum love—there is hardly a nook without its own signature beat. For our Pitch Perfect Europe mixtape, British selector and producer Sinden takes a survey of what’s newest and greatest, with a slant on Europe’s beloved house music. It may only represent a fraction of the continent’s offerings, but wherever you live, we promise it sounds extra fresh.”
